Game Summary |
The Patriots' hot start continued on Monday
with a 14-2 victory over visiting Cranston East at Bob Crudup
Field. John Pedrotty picked up his 2nd victory on the mound,
pitching six innings of six hit baseball. He struck out ten,
walked only two, and allowed only two unearned runs. Pedrotty
showed his grit and determination by working out of many
potential jams. Offensively, the star of the day was Ryan
Westmoreland. Westy hit for the cycle, going 4-for-4 with a
walk, scored two runs and drove in four. John Sleeper ended the
game early, with a sixth inning, walk-off two-run homer. It was
Sleep's first home run of the year. The Patriots will return to
action on Wednesday, when they will travel to Coventry for a
4:00 PM game vs. the Knotty Oakers. |
